a case of the Mondays...

Yup, it definitely sounds like somebody's got a case of the Mondays. After waking up this morning feeling absolutely horrible, like I was coming down with something, I decided to do something I NEVER do, and call in sick to work. Luckily, my boss was totally cool about it.

So I woke up and after getting the husband successfully off to work, I made some brekkie.

I had the extra pancake that my GF pancake mix made yesterday and topped it with just some AB and some unsweetened apple butter (sooo good)

And to go with it, I just made a mini green monster consisting of just half a frozen banana, a small handful of kale leave (the last of mom/nana's garden kale) a scoop of vanilla protein powder and then proceeded to add unsweetened coconut milk until I had the right consistency. It was yum.

I then did some dishes, started some laundry and generally just loafed around the house for a while trying to feel better. Around 10, I had this:

panda puffs with fresh blueberries and coconut milk followed by some carrot sticks with the AB/AB mixture, yum again! But still not feeling totally great.

I decided I needed to go ahead and walk the puppy and maybe then I'd feel better. So we walked for about 45 minutes, I did some more dishes/laundry/general cleaning and by this time, I was feeling even worse. Shoulda taken it easy I guess. So I got a shower and made some lunch:

Half a sunshine burger quick guac (1/4 avocado and salsa) some Mary's Crackers (shhh, these are supposed to be for the husband, but I see why the Fitnessista calls them "Mary's Crack" LoL) and a failed attempt at making some zucchini chips, I either need more patience, or a dehydrator, these tasted great, but they were certainly not "chips" They were a little soft.

After lunch I was still a little hungry, so I made some banana soft serve (yes it was a little melty) and topped it with fresh blueberries! It was fabulous of course, but I still feel icky. I'm here curled up on the couch with my laptop catching up on some at home work today, so we shall see how the rest of the day goes! I do not have time to be sick!
