Dinner with the husband on friday was fabulous. So the actual main course didn't turn out all that wonderful, it was kind of meh. But there were enough other good things to make up for it. For starters I had a glass of Robert Mondavi Pinot Noir, it's a really good red for the price.

For the husband I picked out a white merlot as he likes his wines chilled and super sweet. He was pleased.

While everything was simmering I fixed our salads which were one of my fave parts of the meal. Mine had baby greens, garden fresh cucumber, strawberries and feta drizzled with a little Annie's balsamic. Kermit's had baby greens, cucumber, some sliced garden fresh banana pepper, feta and Italian dressing. My salad was so good.

Like I said, the meal was nothing to write home about but it was okay. Just some wild caught salmon pan cooked with some garlic and wine seasoning from the melting pot, some steamed Italian green beans and sauteed new potatoes.

Dessert was most def another contender for my fave part of the meal. I got these little chocolate souffles from TJs. They come in their own little ramekins and you just pop them in the oven and they bake up into these beautiful fancy little souffles. So easy, and cheap too! I think the box of two was less than $5, you pretty much can't beat that especially since you get ramekins out of the deal!

I topped mine with some more strawberries and Kermit had some ice cream with his.

After dinner I convinced him to take a late night stroll with me and the puppy, I think by this time it was around 10:00 p.m. I loooove late night walks, and it was really a nice finish to the evening.
