Well, I finally finished off the rest of the oats this morning, they were fabulous with a little almond butter and unsweetened apple butter on top. I also enjoyed some Yogi green tea, so good.
So now that the oats are gone, what will I have for breakfast tomorrow? We shall see, maybe a visit from a familiar green friend? Sounds yummy!
After breakfast I caught up on a little freelance work before leaving for the day job. One thing that has returned along with my love of the gym and all things fit, is being hangry all the time, so I used my empty oats bowl to have a little post brekkie snack of some cornflakes with coconut milk, blueberries and a little ground flax.

Who the heck gets hungry after eating oatmeal? Me, I do. I'm very hungry in the morning, or maybe it's hangry, I'm a bottomless pit in the morning and then it kind of tapers off throughout the day. I don't always post every single snack, etc., but I usually have a substantial breakfast, followed by a light snack right before leaving the house, or on the way to work, and sometimes both. Then usually another light snack before lunch. I don't feel bad about how much I eat in the mornings because I usually make up for by eating lighter as I get less hungry throughout the day. It works well because I'm a HUGE breakfast fan and I am completely not opposed to having two breakfasts sometimes or having breakfast for dinner. I think I could eat it all day.

Lunch was a little something different, kind of a southwest twist on my salad, I topped it with cucumbers and black beans, and took some spicy guacamole made with salsa verde for dressing as well as half my sunshine burger from last night. So delicious and filling. I also had Mary's crackers and fruit, but they ended up being an afternoon snack.
Then for a pre-workout snack: some more cornflakes with blueberries and coconut milk

I got home from work SO late, it was almost 7:00 p.m., but I told myself I was not going to let it be an excuse to miss my workout, even though the dishes were piling up in the sink and I had a million reasons to stay home. I hit the gym and did legs and abs all super sets to save time, then did 30 min of glorious cardio 10 min. on the stairmaster (my new fave cardio beast) and 20 vigorous minutes on the treadmill. Once again, it felt good to sweat and get a good burn in. Loving being back in the groove!!
When I got home, I replenished immediately with this:

Like I mentioned before the sink was literally piled so high with dishes, that it was overflowing onto the counters, gross I know, but homegirll has been busy this week!! So, cooking dinner wasn't exactly an option. Tonight's post workout meal was nothing glamorous, purely post workout fuel. But you know what, it was actually really really good!! I made my favorite version of tuna salad using a can of albacore mixing with a little plain non fat yogurt and a couple squeezes of lemon juice and ate that with some Mary's crackers and half a granny smith apple and some AB.

A little later on, I decided I deserved a "little dessert" it's been a rough week. So I had a teeny ramekin with some green and black dark choc ice cream and half a glass of pinotage. The perfect ending to the day!!

One last thought for today... TGI almost friday!!! Bring on the weekend, I can't wait!

Hey, thanks for visiting!!!
I checked out Apocalyptica and realized that there is a song on there that I already am in love with (I don't care) so I downloaded it :)

I would also say that breakfast is my favorite meal by far. Heck, it's really the only thing that pulls me out of bed in the morning! I've never had apple butter in my oatmeal, but I think where your head's at. I'll have to give it a try sometime!
HAPPY FRIDAY!! :)
All those meals look aaabsolutely wonderful. Way to use two nut butters in that oatmeal :-)
Your meals look delish.:)
I am glad I was able to help. I will be posting the core work very soon.
