Marvelous Monday

This was pretty much the best monday ever! Why can't they all be like this?

I started the day with a fabulous Green Monster, a couple of macaroons with some AB and a handful of raw cherries, so good. Pictures didn't come out so good, no pic.

I packed a lunch, I am on a roll with this and loving it!

I chopped up some garden fresh cucumbers and a huge banana pepper over a bed of baby greens then shaved some carrots on top and threw some garbonzo beans and feta on top of that. I also packed 1/4 avocado, some cherries, strawberries and carrot sticks. I drizzled it with a little Maple Grove Ginger Pear dressing, so fresh and summery!

Work was great, not too busy, and I got to leave early because I had to pick up and deliver some print to a client. (I love those days)

Yoga was AH-mazing!!! I practice what is called ashtanga yoga (power yoga) which I absolutely love because it's relaxing but it's also a great workout. But tonight our teacher informed us we were doing Yin yoga, where it's all about relaxing holding the poses a long time and melting into them. It was unbelievable. I loved it so much, I wish I could do that once a week in addition to my regular practice. I didn't even do weights afterwards like I usually do, I was so deeply relaxed I just decided to ride it out the rest of the evening and not cut it short with a strenuous workout. Sometimes it's nice to let your body just rest and relax.

So since I came home a bit early, I decided to give the raw banana soft serve another go since I botched it the first time. I thought it would be a good treat after yoga. So I had a half of a HUGE banana in the freezer and I threw it in the food processor this time (not the blender lol) and I topped it with a couple of sliced strawberries. There basically aren't any words for how delicious this was. It totally rocked my face off. Ice cream has always been my weakness and now I feel like I can have it any time!! Awesome. I can't wait to play with the recipe, maybe add some cinnamon and almond butter.

I also had some plain steamed veggies, very simple and tasty.
