Yesterday for an afternoon snack, I cut a big hunk off of an apple to slather with some almond butter, and it turned out in the shape of a perfect heart. Cute huh?

I wrapped the rest up for the hubby to munch on with some PB when he got home. We all know how much men love heart shaped food! :D
I was still feeling pretty lousy at this point and it proceeded to get worse throughout the evening so much so that I ate my dinner in two installments. I ate a little, and then wasn't hungry any more so I took some ibuprofen and we started watching The Unborn, after an hour or so, I felt better and was hungry, so I finished the rest of my veggie pasta. I've been in kind of a rut here lately. Green monsters for bfast, salads for lunch and veggie pasta for dinner, but hey it works and it cuts down on complicated meal planning.
On my list of things to do are to make time for meal planning and also rearrange my workout schedule for muscle confusion. I've just got to have solid plans for both of these or I'm lost.
Speaking of workouts I am really beginning to miss my workout!! I haven't worked out since Saturday, this sucks! Hopefully I can get back at it tomorrow.
I ended up taking today off as well because I still felt really sickly with body aches, fever and chills, so I went to the doc just to make sure I didn't have the flu or something. It was a negative on the flu, and he said just to take it easy and whatever it is will probably just go away. So I guess I'll be dragging myself into work tomorrow no matter what, I can't keep staying home, although it's been kinda fun, I get to capture photo moments like this:

and do some much needed catch up on some freelance I've got going on.
After I left the doctor, I stopped off at the store for some immune boosting stuff hoping that maybe if I just bombed myself with a bunch of stuff I'd feel a little better.
Here's the stash:

Two oranges for vitamin C and just cause they're yummy, Yogi Green Tea with Triple Echinacea (I love this tea and drink it even when I'm not sick, it's really good hot or iced!) A vitamin water 10 with triple antioxidants, and most importantly (I'm hoping) some EmergenC, I've never tried EmergenC before, but it seemed like a good blend of stuff, lots of electrolytes, and immune boosters, and all the B vitamins for extra energy.
So when I got home, I made this EmergenC Orange "Mojito" thingy, LoL, who says getting better can't be kinda fun.

I just muddled a few orange slices with some fresh mint in the glass and then added the powder, water and ice. It wasn't great, but it was drinkable, I downed it pretty fast.
Breakfast this morning was of course a green monster

What went in:
small frozen banana
small steamed carrot
two big handfuls of steamed organic spinach
a cup or so of unsweetened coconut milk
scoop of vanilla protein powder
It made one big one and one small one, I love when that happens!

I did try something different this morning for my mid morning "snack" it was more like a meal. Anyway, I was craving a bowl of hot cereal (comfort food I guess), but didn't have any GF oats, so I made some brown rice and tried blending it with some coconut milk. It didn't really blend like I was hoping, but it was good anyway. I added just a tiny bit of maple/agave syrup, some cinnamon and some AB. I had a small bowl and then went back for another, it was so good!

A little after that, I was craving something salty, so I made a little small thing of guac and ate that with some blue chips. For lunch, I wanted more guacamole, so I threw together a quick Mexican salad with greens, black beans, olives, garbonzos, half a sunshine burger and topped it with guac. Very filling and yummy.Today's question, what do you do when you're feeling under the weather to try and recoup?
