Panda Lunch: One Day Living Room Makeover

Hello!!

I am so excited right now because we just got a whole new living room set. Even better it was hand me downs so we didn't break the bank!

I have taken before and after photos, but you'll have to see todays eats first!

Since I finished off the macaroon babies yesterday, I had half an apple with some AB to accompany my GM.

I had an absolutely glorious green monster today. It didn't turn out as green as usual, I really don't know what causes that, I usually stick to the same basic ingredients. Anyway, it was delicious as always. I used one of the husband's frosty beer mugs... shhhh. I think he would feel violated if he knew I was drinking healthy green things from his beloved frosty mugs! Tee Hee

For lunch I packed the other half of the sweet potato from last night, and a simple salad with just greens, carrots and an avocado. I also packed carrot sticks for munching, and a couple of green and blacks dark chocolate pieces.

Mid morning snack was a key lime pie Larabar, I think this is my new fave Larabar.

Dinner was one of my favorite and most simple meals another variation of veggie pasta!

What went in:

handful of GF fusili pasta made with quinoa
medium steamed zucchini from nana's garden
medium carrot steamed
1/4 cup tomato basil pasta sauce from Aldi (LOVE that place for pantry staples)
generous sprinkling parmesan
2 Dominex Eggplant "meatballs" (so good) I steamed these from frozen with the veggies.

I also had a glass of Merlot/Cab mix with dinner and some Green and Black's dark choc for dessert

"New" Furniture!!!!

So I knew we were getting our best friend's living room set because he's getting married and moving to a new house and getting all new furniture but I didn't know when we'd be able to move it all to our house. I thought we were moving it today, but when I called the husband after work he said we couldn't do it today and I was sad. Then when I got home I noticed his Jeep was backed into the driveway which he never does... hmmm, interesting. So I walk in the front door, and I have a completely new living room!! Yay!! It was a surprise! The package includes: Sofa, Loveseat, Coffee table, two end tables, two lamps and an area rug. Pretty sweet. And the best part is it's barely used and he's a neat freak anyway, so it's like new.

We rarely used the living room before because we spend most of our time in the bonus room, so we haven't been motivated to fix it up. There were these awful mismatched couches in there one of which was soooo ugly that it had to be covered with a slip cover that didn't halfway fit. Ugh, I hated for it to be the first room people saw when they walked in even if we didn't use it. So now I feel like our little house is more complete! And we'll def be using the living room a lot more often now.
