Joan's GF Great Bakes

Let me just first start by saying that before I went GF I was a HUGE baking fanatic, I baked almost every weekend, cookies, brownies, cakes, you name it. Then when I found out I had a gluten sensitivity all that pretty much came to a halt. I had to find alternative ways of baking, and sometimes, I just don't feel like gathering all the different flours it takes to make something good. Enter Joan's GF Great Bakes!! Joan really has the gluten free baking thing down. The lady clearly knows what she's doing in the GF kitchen!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

I'm starting with these because they are my favorite since I have such a huge sweet tooth.

These are absolutely to die for. They are moist and chewy. They rival any glutenous chocolate chip cookies out there for sure. I often pop one or two in the oven after dinner for me and my non GF husband, who by the way loves them just as much as me, and he's a super snob about GF stuff.

Sesame Seed Bagels

My second favorite thing: because back before I was GF, I absolutely loved a good bagel. Many days I remember just having a bagel with cream cheese for my lunch if I was on the run (not the most nutritious lunch, I know, but yummy and convenient) Anyway, these bagels are so amazingly good, no one would ever know they are gluten free. They are chewy and soft on the inside and crusty on the outside, and they taste amazing. They are so good spread with a little cream cheese and strawberry jam. I can't wait to try the other varieties!

Sicilian Pizza

Who doesn't love a good hunk of pizza? Well I had pretty much convinced myself that I didn't. Simply because I really missed pizza and there are not that many good gluten free options out there. So I convinced myself I didn't really care for pizza any more. Well all of the old familiar feelings came flooding back when I tasted Joan's Sicilian Pizza. The crust is so good and seasoned to perfection with a wonderful soft, chewy texture (just like I remembered!) and the sauce is amazing! This pizza totally knocked my socks off. My dad who isn't gf tried some and was blown away!

English Muffins

These are just a super tasty easy breakfast and just like Joan's other products they taste just like the regular ones! These are amazing toasted under the broiler so that all the nooks and crannies get crunchy and then topped with some cream cheese and jam, or just plain with a little butter or margarine, so good, easy and tasty.

I seriously don't have one negative thing to say about these products. I've been gluten free for about 3 years, and I've had my share of crumbly brick like gluten free baked goods. Well there is none of that to be found from Joan's bakery! I was so excited when I tasted her products because I didn't think baked goods of this caliber existed in the gluten free world! Thanks so much Joan for making such a wonderful treats. You've got a customer for life here!

Amanda, this is great to hear! I have heard a lot of negative reviews for gluten free products!

I have been contemplating going GF myself... due to some stomach issues. It seems like such a huge overhaul that it scares me, though! I love to bake, too... so it's comforting to know if I do decide to, I won't miss out on my favorite foods!

Everything looks amazingly good. Thanks for the reviews (for this and the chips)!!! So glad to hear you found GF stuff to replace your old favorites :)

French Meadow Bakery also has a wide variety gluten-free products! I'm working with them on some outreach projects so if you're interested in doing a product review on your blog, email me at vicki at webcatalyst dot net and I'll get some samples over to you.
