Weekend recap

So the weekend started out Saturday morning with a glorious 6 mile walk on my favorite trail, after which I refueled with a zbar and coconut water on the way to the gym where I did biceps, triceps shoulders and 10 minutes/46 floors on the stair master.

I didn't have a very big breakfast before the walk and I swear having a small brekkie messes me up the rest of the day. I was pretty much hungry the rest of the day, and proceeded to snack and munch all the way up until dinner where I then consumed way too much red wine.

Yup, that was all me.

This morning I woke up with a headache, what surprise! I ate a banana with some AB before heading over to mom's to hang out and pick some more kale for my smoothies! I also had a huge iced green tea and lots and lots of water trying to recoup from last night's faux pas.

When I got to the parent's house, my sweet little nana had prepared a huge stack of GF waffles, I topped mine with some TJs Apricot preserves. Super yummy and filling.

After breakfast, my mom and I headed out to the garden to pick some kale and there were also two zucchinis that were ready to pick, bonus!

We had to run to WMart to grab some stuff and when we got back we had this:

that's right, I took a page from the Fitnessista's book and had a small portion of REAL ice cream and it was such a good treat. It was Sbux Java chip and it was fabulous, worth every calorie.

I came home and noshed on some brown rice sushi that i got at Publix yesterday.

And I couldn't wait to have a GM with some of my freshly picked kale!

Isn't it gorge?

I also decided to make some more macaroons. This time, I figured since I can't techinically do raw anyway, I would just go ahead and bake them at 350 degrees. I also used my Pampered Chef small scoop to make smaller cookies. They came out pretty good. They look a little crispy around the edges, but they are soft and chewy inside. They only took about 7 minutes to bake. I used the same recipe as last time, but I reduced the maple/agave blend to 1/4 cup this time and that was plenty. Very tasty and cute. I like cute food.

Well, I better get back to work, the weekend is fading fast and I've still got lots to do!! It's good to be busy!

Sounds like you had a delightful weekend! I drank a bit too much on Saturday as well, unfortunately. That's so great that you can pick your own kale!
