What'chu Talkin' Bout Google?

TGI almost Friday!!! I know I will have only worked three days this week, but it's been one of those weeks anyway, so I am looking forward to the weekend!

I thought I'd start today's post with something totally random and funny.

Today I was fiddling with my blog background (I am trying to add my own background) and I can't seem to get the size right so I decided to google the problem and the browser I use does a thing with google where it suggests phrases based on the first few words you type. So I began typing "why is my" I was going to type "why is my blog background too small" when google hit me with a whole plethora of suggestions which I found hilarious especially the first one, check it out:


Now I'm guessing google bases these suggestions on popular searches, which is even more hilarious. Just thought I'd share, it was too funny to keep to myself!

Anyway, on to the foodie.


This morning started a little differently than usual. Yay for variety! I had a container of greek yogurt (so so creamy and good) with some fat juicy blueberries and a tiny drizzle of maple/agave. Heaven in my mouth.

I was a little headachy and thought maybe coffee would help, so I made about a half a cup in my French press, and put some coconut milk in for creamer, but it was not happening, the coffee was thin, and I don't think coconut milk makes good coffee creamer, but I might be wrong, it might have just been bad coffee. I dunno,


anyway, I ended up doing my new mix of vitamin water + emergen-c, I cannot drink that emergen-c stuff straight, I've got to mix it with something and vitamin water seems to do the trick. So I downed that, got ready for work, then made a lovely green monster to drink on the way in to work, here's what went in:

2 big handfuls lightly steamed organic spinach
1 small frozen banana
1 small steamed carrot
1 Tbsp. almond butter
1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
coconut milk until well blended

I don't usually put AB in my GMs, but I loved the flavor it added! I'll definitely be doing it more often, plus what better way to get some healthy fat into your breakfast! Yum!

Here's the lunch stash:


Salad contained
Organic Mache blend salad greens
blueberries
garbonzo beans
avocado
feta
I used Annie's balsamic dressing just a little, it didn't need much

I also took some almonds for snacking and a half ounce of dark chocolate.

You can also see my green monster in the back there in a to go coffee thing.
So I drank that on the way in, and then when I got to work, my coworker had made a blender full of another delicious looking smoothie concoction that I just had to try about a half a glass of. It was GOOD.

She was in a liquid food mood today, so after lunch for an afternoon snack, she made us some green juice also. It was very tasty as well: spinach, parsley, celery, a little ginger and lots o' lemon and green apples just like I like.

Yet another day of missing my workout, I felt almost fully recovered today except for a pounding headache that wouldn't quit! And I wasn't about to take any more ibuprofen, but I did stop on the way home from work and grab a bottle of tylenol at the suggestion of the lovely Menden.

I had a zbar on the way home from work, then I proceeded to munch on a bunch of random things while I made my usual veggie pasta dinner. This one was a little different than usual though because I used steamed asparagus, which was a really good addition.


This batch contained:

2 eggplant veggie "meatballs"
garbonzo beans
steamed asparagus
steamed carrots
several black olives
feta
tomato basil pasta sauce
It was unbelievably good for something so simple and easy to prepare!


After dinner I had a half a glass of pinot and yet some more dark chocolate. I can't get enough dark chocolate here lately. I go through phases with it.

Well, I am going to jump off and get a little work done before the hubby gets home and it's time to watch some recorded SYTYCD. Have a great night and a great friday!!
