Cantaloupe and hummus for dinner?

Wow, I am sore from yesterday's ab ripper. It's amazing because I've been working my abs out 2-3 days a week for a while now, but there's still nothing like ab ripper. I'll definitely be doing it more often. What's even more amazing is how sore my legs are!

Today began with a delicious breakfast of a Van's gf waffle topped with ABU and some banana and strawberry slices on the side. I also had a Yogi green tea, it was kind of a dreary morning, and green tea sounded good!

I knew it might be somewhat of a long day at work, so I packed extra stuff. I'm pathetic, I'm so worried I might have to go like a whole hour without food so I pack all these little snacks LoL.

This is a habit I've picked up since working in such a deadline driven job, you never know when you're going to get stuck late working on a project.

I took a green salad with garbonzos and blueberries, and some Annie's balsamic and maple butter pecans for topping, I totally forgot goat cheese though! Some blue chips, a pear and Panda Puffs.

But today turned out to be not such a long day after all, and I was able to hit the gym pretty soon after work. I did triceps, biceps and shoulders followed by 30 min. of walking/running on the treadmill. Total cals burned on the treadmill: 375, not too bad for an easy night.

I also incorporated some workout moves I saw in this month's issue of Shape. I'm not usually one to copy stuff from fitness mags, but this month featured Jada Pinkett Smith, and I just think she is amazing! This is actually a really great issue.

After my workout, I came home and munched on some hummus and blue corn chips.

Then I cut up this huge beast of a cantaloupe, look how it dwarfs the cutting board! I froze most of it for smoothies, but I also ate quite a bit as I was cutting it, until I was stuffed to the gills. Probably not the best dinner, but I am happily full now and ready for bed!

See you tomorrow!
